The Flow Cytometry & Special Project role will be responsible for the staffing, management, planning, coordination, and evaluation of all technical and operational activities of the Clinical Laboratory Flow Cytometry Department. He/she will ensure that the department is operating efficiently and producing highest quality test results, in a safe environment and in a cost-effective manner. Location: Dallas, Texas 75247 Full-time: Benefit Eligible In this role, you will: Manage all aspects of the Flow Cytometry Department. Evaluate and ensure all laboratory processes operate at optimal efficiency and quality. Troubleshoot all processes, equipment, and systems. Thoroughly investigate and resolve specimen issues in a timely and effective manner. Ensure equipment is maintained in operational condition. Plan, assign, and direct work in the laboratory in close coordination with managers/supervisors of interrelated departments. Develop and implement improvements in systems and processes for enhanced efficiency and quality while managing growth. Identify problem areas and develop recommendations and plans for solutions. Review business indicators, optimize processes, and maximize profitability. Oversee staffing. Maintain quality staffing by interviewing, hiring, coaching, training, assessing competency, reviewing performance, counseling and employment termination. Mentor and support employees in their responsibilities and functions, ensuring appropriate training in technical and other required skills. Maintain compliance with company and department policies and procedures. All you need is: Bachelor degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Lab Sciences or Life Sciences required. ASCP or other equivalent certification required. Demonstrated ability in work flow design, and in analyzing and troubleshooting complex processes. Fully versed in the validation of new equipment and testing. Experience with clinical lab regulatory requirements, QC, QA, and process improvement activities. A minimum of eight years of Clinical Laboratory experience with at least 5 years of supervisory experience in a high volume pathology laboratory.
